^^ my better half on the left

how did i get here?

I started studying science at university in Ottawa... and it took me almost 3 years to tell myself life's too short to do something you didn't love doing.

It wasn't all for nothing though. I met a classmate who made me look forward to coming into school...no small feat. She quickly became the love of my life.

I realized how truly important wedding photos are after seeing my own. How happy it made me feel, and how often I would (and still do) look at them.

Quite a lot has changed since then...
  - Catching my bus is no longer the most stressful part of the day.
  - I definitely wouldn't fit into that suit anymore.

But most of all, being so lucky to have the best job ever. Having a great time with my amazing couples, and capturing photos they'll look back on and have the same feelings that I still have many years later.

Meet Theo

Being a wedding photographer is only part of my story. I’m a husband and dad to the loves of my life Rachel and Ava. I’m a secret hopeless romantic (though my wife calls it being corny). I’m that dad who, unapologetically, takes way too many photos of his daughter growing up.

In the evenings I'm usually on my couch, laptop on one side while binge watching a show on TV until late at night. I love sitting by a fire surrounded by friends and family, and will be the first to wonder if there are marshmallows nearby.

What drives me is creating photos that let you relive life’s most important moments. That photo that causes your partner to give you an unexpected hug and whisper ‘I love you’ in your ear. Or that photo that sparks a night of laughter retelling favourite memories from the day. Those moments are what truly matters in life, and are worth saving.

If that’s something you’re looking for, let’s chat about how we’ll make that happen!

DRINK
Chai latte on a cold day, bubble tea any other time

FOOD
Stir fried rice noodles with beef. Reminds me of growing up with my parents

TRAVEL MEMORY
Wandering aimlessly through the side streets of Italy

PASTIME
Exploring new places and foods

WHAT PEOPLE DON'T KNOW
I plate food that I cook, even if it’s just for myself!
